Power-PRO XT Stryker® Stretcher

Here is the main point: our Stryker® Power-LOAD® system charges the Power-PRO™ XT cot while it rides in the van, and it helps the crew safely lift very heavy and large customers into and out of the vehicle. Per Stryker, when a compatible Power-PRO XT cot is secured in the transport position, Power-LOAD inductively charges the cot battery — no cable required — so the powered lift stays ready for the next transfer. Power-LOAD also supports the cot through loading and unloading so the crew is not muscling the full weight by hand. Once a trip is booked, we take care of the details from the first call to the bedside drop-off.
The Power-PRO™ XT cot
This is the stretcher your customer rides on for the whole trip. Features that matter on a long-distance move:
- Battery-powered hydraulic raise and lower at the touch of a button
- Rated to 700 lbs for heavy and large customers
- Settable load height with jog function. Adjusts to fit the vehicle deck height.
- Pneumatically assisted backrest. Less operator effort and a smoother change in position for the customer.
- Fold-down siderails. A Stryker design meant to give the customer a greater sense of security in transit.
- Head- and foot-end lift and grip sections. Handles set at about 30 degrees, the angle most operators prefer.
- Foot-end controls. Duplicated on the upper and lower lift bars so crew of different heights can run the cot.
- Dual wheel locks. Help hold the cot still for safer transfers at pickup and drop-off.
Per Stryker, the Power-PRO XT’s powered hydraulic lift is designed to reduce spinal loading on the crew compared with a manual cot, and Stryker reports that powered operation can decrease compression forces by about 50% and shear forces by about 46% versus a manual cot. Fewer strained lifts for the crew means a steadier, less jostled ride for the customer.

The Stryker® Power-LOAD® system
Power-LOAD is the vehicle-mounted system that loads the cot and keeps it charged. Per Stryker:
- Inductive charging of compatible Power-PRO XT cots when the cot is secured in the transport position
- Supports the cot throughout loading and unloading, which reduces the need for manual lifting — including for very heavy and large customers
- Helps minimize drops by supporting the cot until the wheels are on the ground
- Removes the need to steer the cot into and out of the vehicle by hand
- Is designed to reduce spinal load on operators and help prevent cumulative trauma injuries
- Includes a manual backup if power is unavailable
- Is designed to meet dynamic crash-test standards for occupant safety when used as specified
