Ferno iNX Stretcher

Charges the cot. Lifts heavy customers safely.

Here is the main point: the Ferno® iNX® loading setup is how we keep the cot charged and how we safely lift very heavy and large customers into and out of the van. Ferno rates the iNX to 700 lb / 318 kg unassisted. Our Stryker® Power-PRO™ XT with Power-LOAD® does that same job well on vans that carry Stryker — both systems are built for this work.

Per Ferno, the iNX Integrated Patient Transport & Loading System lets crews lift, lower, load, and unload with the push of a button. Ferno’s ICS® Integrated Charging System charges and manages the cot battery when the unit is docked in the vehicle (Ferno: it “eliminates the need for battery management”), so the powered lift stays ready for the next transfer. Once a trip is booked, we take care of the details from the quote call through loading, the road miles, and the bedside handoff.

What the Ferno® iNX® is

The iNX is an integrated cot and loading system — one unit that raises and lowers the customer and loads into the vehicle under power, with charging handled through Ferno’s ICS® when the cot is secured in the van.

  • Dual powered actuators for tip stability while lifting loads up to 700 lb (Ferno) — built for very heavy and large customers
  • One-touch / push-button operation to lift, lower, load, and unload
  • ICS® Integrated Charging System that charges/manages the battery in the fastener so crews are not swapping packs mid-fleet
  • Programmable load height that can be set to match the vehicle floor height
  • Telescoping load frame for maneuvering in tight spaces
  • 360° locking swivel wheels for movement in any direction at any bed height
  • Pneumatic-assisted backrest and a cot surface that stays level at all heights
  • Shock position to raise the feet when clinically needed
  • In-fastener shut-off to help prevent accidental operation inside the vehicle
  • Continuous and flashing lights so the crew can see and be seen in low light
  • Manual backup if power is unavailable

When combined with Ferno’s iNLINE fastening system, Ferno states the iNX is designed to meet SAE J3027 and other listed transport standards (including BS EN-1789, AS/NZS-4535, KKK-A-1822, NFPA-1917, and related specs on Ferno’s product materials).

How this protects our customers

  • A charged cot when you need it. ICS® keeps the battery managed in the vehicle so the powered lift is ready at pickup and drop-off.
  • Safe lifts for heavy and large customers. Dual actuators and powered load/unload cut the hand-lifting that leads to sudden drops or uneven moves.
  • A stable load and less jostling. Controlled height changes and a level surface at every height make for a smoother transfer before the highway miles begin.
  • Crew safety that shows up as customer safety. When the crew is not fighting the stretcher, they can keep their attention on the customer’s comfort for the whole trip.

We handle every step of the equipment choice, the loading plan, and the handoff so families do not have to coordinate those pieces themselves. Call (979) 243-6663 or request a free quote — available 24/7.

Stryker or Ferno — both do this job well

CienOne’s fleet includes both Stryker® (Power-PRO™ XT with Power-LOAD®) and Ferno® iNX®. Each loading system charges its cot and helps us lift very heavy and large customers safely. Which setup rides on a given trip depends on the van assigned and the customer’s needs — ask a coordinator when you call.
